CALL FOR PAPERS
============================================================================== Web Mining and Recommender Systems (WebMiReS), PAAMS 2013 Special Session http://www.paams.net/special-sessions/SS11-WebMiRes Salamanca 22th-24th May 2013 =============================================================================== PAAMS'12 Special Sessions will be a very useful tool in order to complement the regular program with new or emerging topics of particular interest to the participating community. SCOPE Recommender systems are becoming very popular in recent years, mainly in the e-commerce sites, although they are increasing in importance in other areas such as e-learning, tourism, news pages, etc. These systems are endowed with intelligent mechanisms to personalize recommendations about products or services. Data mining techniques are efficient methods for personalized selective retrieval of web information. The process of applying data mining techniques on web data is known as web mining. Web mining tasks can be carried out automatically by means of software agents. The use of agents in web applications is widely extended, mainly in search engines and e-commerce environments, where they play diverse roles. Their autonomy, learning capability and the possibility of working in cooperation with other agents are suitable properties for their use in the personalization of web systems by means of data mining techniques. WebMiReS aims at providing a forum for the presentation and discussion of the advances achieved in the web mining field. TOPICS • Web Usage Mining • Web Content Mining • Web Structure Mining • Web Mining Agents • Recommender Systems’ Technologies and Methodologies • User Profiles • Preference Prediction • Recommender Agents • Fuzzy Methods • Hybrid Techniques • Semantic Web Technologies for Recommender Systems • Semantic Web Mining • Semantic Web Personalization • Visualization Techniques • Applications: e-Commerce, e-Learning, Tourism Web Systems, Digital Libraries… SUBMITTING PAPERS All papers must be formatted according to the Advances in Intelligent and Soft Computing Series Springer template, with a maximum length of 8 pages in length, including figures and references for the PAAMS 2013 Special Sessions. This template can be downloaded here: • Microsoft Word Format (http://www.paams.net/sites/default/files/word.zip) • Latex Format (http://www.paams.net/sites/default/files/latex.zip) All proposed papers must be submitted in PDF format using the PAAMS 2013 conference management system for special sessions: https://www.easychair.org/conferences/?conf=paams13ss PUBLICATION All papers accepted for publication in the Special Sessions will be published in the PAAMS 2013 proceedings, in a volume of the Springer Advances in Intelligent and Soft Computing series. At least one of the authors will be required to register and attend the symposium to present the paper in order to include the paper in the conference proceedings. PAAMS is included in the ranking of the best conferences established by the Computer Science Conference Ranking based on the "Estimated Impact of Conference (EIC)", concretely in position 52 among 701 considered (in the Artificial Intelligence field). Therefore the papers will be indexed by CiteSeer.IST, and by the organization Computing Research and Education Association (CORE). |
