Call for Chapters for the book Social Network and Surveillance for Society T. Ozyer and S. Bakshi (Eds.) to be published in Lecture Notes in Social Networks, Springer Series Editors: R. Alhajj and U. Glässer http://www.springer.com/series/8768
Social networks have emerged in the last decade as an indispensable tool in daily life. Development of social networks has a high impact on society. A data stored in social network and its connectivity information has a significant role to play as forensic evidence against a crime. Social networking data have been useful to provide surveillance for the society. Government and judiciary system have many a times accepted the data from social network as official evidence. Surveillance technologies like biometric recognition, gesture identification have found applications in social networks.
The book will serve as a platform to cover the recent technical advancements and social issues regarding social networks and its importance in surveillance of the society, especially considering today's state-of-the art technologies. This call for chapters invites a. Original research articles, b. Case studies, c. Review articles, d. Analysis and opinion pieces in the aforementioned domain.

 Biometric recognition and terrorist identification from social network footprint

Submission Guidelines:
The manuscript should be prepared using springer LNCS format. The guidelines can be found here. The LaTeX template can be found here and MS Word template can be found here. Chapters with 12-18 pages (in LNCS format) including all text, tables, figures, illustrations, and references are desired.
Authors can email their submissions (PDF manuscript as well as the LaTeX or MS Word source files) to the editors with a mail titled “Submission for Social Network and Surveillance for Society, Springer” at sambitbaksi@gmail.com.
