Call For Papers

The negative effects of the current global financial and economic crisis affect all categories, but mainly the young generation, the high unemployment rate among them representing one of the most severe repercussions, which leads to long term major difficulties in social insertion and adjustments to social changes. Long-term unemployment, social exclusion, low wages, unstable employment and fear of job change in search for professional satisfaction can have long lasting adverse effects on young people. Action to reduce their unemployment is essential for the welfare of this category in itself and for the welfare of society as a whole, given that the future stability of the pension system is based on the current success of youth in their process of professional integration.

The Social Work Review invites authors to contribute with original papers to Issue no. 2 on 2013, with the following focus: “Youth Employment – Challenges and Opportunities”.
We welcome innovative articles, research articles, analysis of policies, practices and their implications for social workers.

The submission is free of charge.

Important dates:
Deadline for submitting the articles: September 20th, 2012.
Detailed instructions for authors are provided here.
The articles can be sent to the following e-mail address: tmalexiu@socio.uvt.ro.
