Alliances between universities and industries are growing because of increasing demand for innovation, rising global competitiveness, and declining government support for research and development. However, a big majority of such partnerships do not succeed and terminate with little or no benefits to either party. This conference will shed light on industrial engineering techniques and practices that may help organizations and universities in their quest to build successful university – industry alliances.
