The Technology Division of the Cultural Studies Association (CSA) invites abstracts for papers and panel proposals for the 11th Annual Cultural Studies Association Meeting, May 23–26, 2013 at Columbia College, Chicago.
The Gamification of the Everyday From business models to social networking, fitness to pedagogy, gamification has infiltrated almost any facet of everyday life. Many herald it as a paradigmatic shift in cultural strategy, while others dismiss it as a fleeting buzzword. Where did this impulse come from? How is gamification significant at this cultural moment and what can we stand to learn from it?
