The 7th, 2020 International Conference on Control, Decision and Information Technology, CoDIT'20 (will be held from June 29 to July 2, 2020 in Prague, Czech Republic) – Sponsored by IEEE, IEEE Systems, Man, and Cybernetics Society, GDR RO,... website: https://codit2020.com --------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Special Session Chairs: Prof. Michela Robba, DIBRIS-Department of Informatics, Bioengineering, Robotics and Systems Engineering, University of Genoa, Italy, email: michela.robba@unige.it Dr. Giulio Ferro, DIBRIS, University of Genoa, Italy Dr. Student Luca Parodi, DIBRIS, University of Genoa, Italy Dr. Student Giovanni Bianco, DIBRIS, University of Genoa, Italy Prof. Riccardo Minciardi, DIBRIS, University of Genoa, Italy. Session description: In order to reduce greenhouse gas emissions and energy demand, countries all over the world are implementing low carbon and energy efficiency policies. This is leading to a rapid increase of the installations of distributed generation (DG) technologies, using mainly renewable resources and fossil fuels in case of co(tri)generation applications. Moreover, demand response strategies need to be implemented to satisfy the demands avoiding many peaks in the power request. This special session is focused on Energy Management Systems, which, on the basis of simulation and optimization models, automatically schedule the plants according to economic and environmental criteria, and can manage microgrids, buildings, renewables, electric vehicles, production plants, and, in general, sustainable districts and smart grids. Both theoretical and application-oriented papers are welcomed. The topics of interest include, but are not limited to: Energy Management Systems Demand response Building Management Systems Optimization in smart grids Electric vehicles integration Simulation and optimization of energy systems Energy market. |
