The "Workshop on Computer Architecture, Embedded Systems, SoC, and VLSI/EDA" is one of the main workshops of the International Computer Symposium (ICS). This workshop aims at providing a forum for researchers, educators, and professionals to exchange their discoveries and practices, and to explore future trends and applications related to computer architecture, embedded systems, SoC, and VLSI/CAD. All who are interested in related theoretical and practical research are welcome to submit papers and attend the symposium. The focus of this year’s workshop will be on emerging architecture design such as cloud and mobile architecture and computing. High quality accepted papers will be recommended to a special issue on cloud computing and emergent system architectures in the Scientific World Journal (SCI), a special issue on reconfigurable cyber-physical and embedded system design in the Journal of Systems Architecture (SCI), or a special issue on smart reconfigurable system modeling, design, and implementation in the Microprocessors and Microsystems (SCI) to be published in 2015.

Paper Submission
######################################################
All submissions will be handled electronically. Papers must be written in ENGLISH and not exceed 10 pages in the format of LNCS. The instructions of electronic submission are posted on http://ics2014.thu.edu.tw/ together with related style files. Submitted papers must describe work not previously published. They must not be submitted simultaneously to another conference with refereed proceedings or to a journal. Every accepted paper is required to have at least one author to register in full registration before the due day. The symposium proceedings will be published by Springer-Verlag in the series of Smart Innovation, Systems and Technologies.
