=================================================================
Call for papers CSBIO 2019 10th International Conference on Computational Systems-Biology and Bioinformatics Location: Nice, France Dates: December 4th-7th, 2019 www.csbio.org/2019/ ==================================================================== With the advancement in next-generation molecular technology in generating the high-throughput "omics" data, life science has come to the era of "big data". To extract biological knowledge from the data and translate it into benefits for society (e.g. better medicine and healthcare), novel and advanced computational tools are needed for data analysis. The call for paper targets contribution in the field of computational approaches designed to face the challenges aroused by biological systems. It aims at giving an overview of the cutting-edge methods and tools to address biological systems. CSBio 2019 would like to invite researchers and industrial counterparts to meet at this event to exchange ideas and stimulate research collaborations. TOPICS OF INTEREST Topics of interest include, but are not limited to: - Adaptive computation in bioinformatics - Bio-data visualization - Bio-inspired computing - Biological network reconstruction and analysis - Biomarker discovery - Disease classification - DNA, RNA and protein sequence analysis - Drug discovery and validation - Epigenetics/epigenomics - Formal validation of biological systems - Functional genomics - Gene expression analysis - Medical and biomedical informatics - Modeling and simulation of biological processes, pathways, etc. - Molecular evolution and phylogeny - Next-generation sequencing - Parallel and distributed computing for life science - Population genetics - Proteomics & other omics - Protein folding - Translational bioinformatics SUBMISSION GUIDELINES Submitted papers should describe original work that does not overlap with papers that have been published or that are simultaneously submitted to a journal, conference, or workshop with refereed proceedings. Papers should be written in English, formatted according to the ACM SIG style (sigconf template), should not exceed 8 pages and must be submitted via EasyChair system. More information about the formatting of the paper can be found at http://www.acm.org/publications/article-templates/proceedings-template.html/ Papers must be submitted electronically as PDF files via EasyChair. The limit for submissions is 8 pages. References and appendices will not not be counted in the page limit during the initial submission process. All submissions will be peer-reviewed and all accepted papers must be presented at the conference. PUBLICATION The CSBio 2019 proceedings will be published electronically through ACM Digital Library. IMPORTANT DATES Paper submission deadline (extended): July 31st, 2019 Paper notification: September, 30th 2019 Camera-ready deadline: October, 20th 2019 Conference: December, 4th-7th 2019 ==================================================================== GENERAL CHAIR Elisabetta DE MARIA (Université Côte d'Azur, I3S, Sophia Antipolis, France) PROGRAM CHAIRS Elisabetta DE MARIA (Université Côte d'Azur, I3S, Sophia Antipolis, France) Morgan MAGNIN (École Centrale de Nantes, LS2N, France) PROGRAM COMMITTEE Jamil AHMAD (University of Malakand, Pakistan) Tatsuya AKUTSU (Kyoto University, Japan) Marc BAILLY-BECHET (Université Côte d'Azur, ISA Sophia Antipolis, France) Frédéric CAZALS (INRIA Sophia Antipolis Méditerranée, France) Jonathan Hoyin CHAN (King Mongkut's University of Technology Thonburi, Thailand) Claudine CHAOUIYA (Instituto Gulbenkian de Ciência, Portugal) Madalena CHAVES (INRIA Sophia Antipolis Méditerranée, France) Ivan CIMRAK (University of Žilina, Slovakia) Thao DANG (CNRS/VERIMAG, France) Joelle DESPEYROUX (INRIA & CNRS, I3S, Sophia Antipolis, France) Francine DIENER (Université Côte d'Azur, LJAD, Nice, France) Jean-Luc GOUZE (INRIA Sophia Antipolis Méditerranée, France) Katsumi INOUE (National Institute of Informatics, Japan) Géraldine JEAN (University of Nantes, LS2N, France) Kwoh Chee KEONG (School of Computer Science and Engineering, Singapore) Teeraphan LAOMETTACHIT (King Mongkut's University of Technology Thonburi, Thailand) Hiroshi MATSUNO (Biopathway Analysis Center, Faculty of Science, Université Yamaguchi, Japan) Carla PIAZZA (Università di Udine, Italy) Alberto POLICRITI (Università di Udine, Italy) Adrien RICHARD (Université Côte d'Azur, I3S, Sophia Antipolis, France) Karine ROBBE-SERMESANT (Université Côte d'Azur, IPMC Sophia Antipolis, France) Delphine ROPERS (INRIA Grenoble-Rhône-Alpes, France) Heike SIEBERT (DFG-Research Center Matheon, Freie Universität Berlin, Germany) Anne SIEGEL (IRISA, Rennes, France) Sylvain SOLIMAN (INRIA Saclay-Île-de-France, France) Nathalie THERET (Inserm Rennes, France) Nelle VAROQUAUX (Berkeley Institute for Data Science, UC Berkeley, US) Richard WINTLE (University of Toronto, Canada) Verena WOLF (Saarland University, Saarbrücken, Germany) Limsoon WONG (National University of Singapore, Singapore) INVITED SPEAKERS François FAGES (Research Director, Inria Saclay Ile de France, France) Hiroshi MATSUNO (Professor, Graduate School of Science and Engineering for Innovation, Yamaguchi University, Japan) Nathalie THERET (Research Director, French Medical Research Institute INSERM, France) PRE-WORKSHOP Francine DIENER (Emeritus Professor, Université Côte d'Azur, LJAD, Nice, France) INDUSTRIAL TALK Sylvain BENITO (Chief Science Officer, ExactCure, Nice, France) |
