Artificial intelligence (AI) is deeply embedded in modern life, controlling critical functions in healthcare, transportation, and industry. However, its power also enables manipulation, deception, and harm. Our book, "Mitigating the Risks of AI Deepfakes," explores the dark side of AI and its dangerous implications for human well-being.
The book examines how attackers exploit AI to spread misinformation, steal identities, and jeopardize public safety. It also addresses the national security risks posed by deepfakes used in political sabotage and blackmail, especially in societies reliant on reputation and visual evidence. While AI offers efficiency and insight, unchecked development poses significant risks. This book provides an overview of these threats and potential solutions, synthesizing research on combating AI manipulation through advanced machine learning techniques. " Mitigating the Risks of AI Deepfakes" is a call to action for consumers, companies, and governments to address the hazards of AI proliferation. It equips readers with the knowledge to protect civil liberties and human life as AI technology advances. This book consists of 10 chapters organized into 3 parts.
