We invite submissions to the 2nd International Conference on Data & Digital Humanities — Generative Artificial Intelligence for Text and Multimodal Data (DDHUM2024) to be held in Braga, Portugal in December 2024. The conference will be hybrid (face-to-face and remote). For more information, visit our website: https://sites.google.com/view/ddhum-2024 In recent years, the intersection of data science, digital humanities, and generative artificial intelligence (GenAI) has emerged as a fertile ground for groundbreaking research, innovation, and exploration. The theme of the 2nd International Conference on Data & Digital Humanities — Generative Artificial Intelligence for Text and Multimodal Data (DDHUM2024) underscores the pivotal role that generative AI plays in transforming the landscape of humanities research and scholarship. The main goal of this conference is to unite researchers from diverse disciplines interested in the methodologies and practical utilization of GenAI for the analysis, application, and communication of textual and multimodal data. We extend invitations to linguistic specialists, data scientists, IT professionals, developers, and individuals with a keen interest in working with textual and multimodal data and GenAI, encouraging discussions on current and future challenges. Papers must be written in English and will be refereed through double-blind peer review. You may submit papers of the following types: Full Papers: Consisting of 10 to 15 pages (including references). Short Papers: Comprising 6 to 9 pages (including references).
